Single fitting delivers either factory-set Intelligent White (250 lm) or full DMX 512 addressable RGBW (150 lm). Specify at time of order.

MaxiLINK

DMX 512 data and 48 VDC power share the same two conductors. No separate signal harness through paving, terraces or coastal hardscape — fewer terminations to seal, fewer points of failure.

IK10 glass lens · 5000 kg drive-over (optional)

Optional tempered glass lens rated to the highest IK10 impact class, with structural housing certified for 5000 kg drive-over — specifiable for pedestrian plazas with occasional vehicular access.

100 m / 328 ft single strand · simplest install

328 ft / 100 m continuous strand from a single supply point. No in-line couplers, no mid-strand drivers — one MaxiLINK source feeds the entire strand over the two-core conductor.

Four lens optics · custom finish

15° narrow spot, 25° narrow beam, 40° flood, 90° wide flood. Finishes in MaxiSEAL Black/Silver, Anodized Black/Silver, or RAL on request for heritage color matching.

  1. Prepare ground work. Excavate a trench minimum 450 mm deep. Fill the lower half with pea gravel for drainage. Position the recessed sleeve (Ø 80 mm × 150 or 250 mm) so its top edge sits flush with finished grade, then pour C20 concrete around it. Before proceeding, perform a 30-minute drainage test — fill the sleeve with water equivalent to its volume; if it does not fully drain, add a further drainage solution before continuing.
  2. Sleeve orientation. Align all sleeve cable-entry holes to the wall or building line so the finished fixtures read uniformly after installation. Route the 2-core MaxiLINK cable up through the sleeve grommet — cable spec: 1.5 mm² conductors, overall Ø 6-8 mm. Do not seal the sleeve to the fixture — keep it removable for service.
  3. Make connections using IP68 gel connectors. The MaxiDEPTH 102 ships with a factory fly lead / pig tail. Splice input and output cables using IP68 submersible gel connectors (supplied by others, inline with local authority regulations). Observe polarity: BLUE − / BROWN +. Follow the gel-connector instruction sheet for terminal-block wiring and gel-cover locking.
  4. Final fitting · terminate with ELR. Drop the fixture into the sleeve so the flange seats flush on grade. On the last fixture of each MaxiLINK strand (max 50 per PSU), wire the End-of-Line Resistor (ELR, supplied separately) to the 48 V / Data output — without the ELR the strand shows data disruption. Qualified electrician required.

MaxiDEPTH 302 — Large Recessed Uplighter

Large recessed inground fitting (Ø155 mm). Triple-LED chamber delivers 3× the output of the 102 (450 lm RGBW / 750 lm Intelligent White) for monumental column lighting, facade wash and large-scale civic programs. Same MaxiLINK architecture — full DMX 512 down the same two conductors that carry the 48 VDC.

3× the output of the 102

Triple-LED optical chamber delivers 450 lm RGBW Clear and 750 lm Intelligent White — three times the lumen output of the 102 from the same 48 VDC infrastructure. The highest-output inground fitting in the MaxiLED catalog.

Monument and facade wash

Engineered for monumental columns, large facade uplighting, plaza-scale architectural accenting. Wider beam options (up to 90°) configurable per fitting for full-elevation wash from a single inground location.

MaxiLINK

Same conductor architecture as the 102. DMX 512 + 48 VDC on the same two-core cable. 328 ft / 100 m strand single-source. Mix 102 and 302 fittings on the same MaxiLINK infrastructure for layered lighting designs.

IP68 factory-sealed optical chamber

The LED and optical assembly are factory-sealed against any future moisture ingress, then dropped into the recessed sleeve. No site sealing of the optical chamber — eliminates the most common point of failure on competitor inground products.

Step & pathway specification

Engineered specifically for in-grade step, stair and pathway integration — not a generic in-grade uplight scaled down. Matte glass at the surface produces uniform low-glare illumination across the face of each marker.

high-power LED + Matte glass = no glare

Dependable high-power LED source behind a matte/frosted glass lens. The matte surface diffuses the chromatic output across the circular face — visitors see the marker, not the LED itself. The reference spec for heritage exteriors where glare is a non-starter.

Up to 100 fixtures · single 100 m / 328 ft strand

Connect up to 100 markers on a single 100 m / 328 ft run from one supply point. The simplest installation architecture in the inground market — one MaxiLINK source, one two-core cable, every marker individually addressable over DMX 512.

Pedestrian std · 5000 kg drive-over (optional)

Standard impact rating is pedestrian foot traffic — adequate for the vast majority of step/pathway briefs. For installations with occasional vehicular access, specify the optional IK10 glass lens with 5000 kg drive-over rating.

Identical Ø 88 mm / 3.46 in outer flange, Ø 60 mm / 2.36 in body, 85 mm / 3.35 in recess depth as the MaxiDEPTH 102 — interchangeable in the same recessed sleeve accessory. Mix DEPTH (uplight beam) and MARKER (matte step glow) in the same hardscape without retooling void preparation.

  1. Prepare ground work. Excavate a trench minimum 400 mm deep. Fill the lower half with pea gravel — always prepare 300 mm of drainage gravel before setting the sleeve. Position the recessed sleeve (Ø 80 mm × 150 or 250 mm) so its top edge sits flush with finished grade, then pour C20 concrete around it. Fill the sleeve with water and confirm it drains completely within 30 minutes before continuing.
  2. Sleeve orientation. Align sleeve cable-entry holes to the wall or building line so the marker circles read uniformly along the pathway or step edge. Route the 2-core MaxiLINK cable through the grommet — cable spec: 1.5 mm² conductors, overall Ø 6-8 mm.
  3. Make connections using IP68 gel connectors. The MaxiMARKER Effect ships with a factory fly lead / pig tail. Splice input and output cables using IP68 submersible gel connectors (supplied by others, inline with local authority regulations). Observe polarity: BLUE − / BROWN +.
  4. Final fitting · terminate with ELR. Drop the marker into the sleeve so the Ø 88 mm flange seats flush. At 2.4 W per unit the MARKER accepts up to 100 fixtures per PSU on 1.5 mm² — the highest density in the family. Wire the End-of-Line Resistor (ELR) on the last unit of each strand.
