Series 04 · Surface Accent + Pixel Matrix

From pixel-scale matrix dots to focal facade beacons.

Six surface-mount fixtures on one low-voltage platform — MaxiDOT 102 (Direct View & 180°), MaxiDOT 302/180°, Focal Facade RGBW, White HO 4000K and 24V Static. From low-resolution pixel matrices to long architectural runs of white accent — the DMX variants controlled over a single 2-core MaxiLINK cable. Focal Facade rated IP68/IK07; MaxiDOT rated IP67/IK07 for permanent outdoor install.

Seven product variants. One low-voltage platform.

Mark out the surface. Using the DOT back fixing plate as a template, mark two fixing holes (X) at 40 mm / 1.57 in centres and a single flylead hole (Z) in the middle for the 500 mm / 19.69 in cable to feed through. Fixing plate diameter is 53.5 mm / 2.11 in. Drill both X holes for the wall fixings and the Z hole large enough for the flylead.
  2. 02
Fix back plate to surface. Feed the 500 mm / 19.69 in flylead through the back plate, then through the Z hole in the wall. Secure the back plate to the surface with suitable wall fixings — orient the countersunk screw entry facing the fixture so the DOT can slide onto it.
  3. 03
Secure DOT to back plate. Slide the MaxiDOT body onto the mounted back plate. Using the supplied hex key, tighten the grub screw on the side of the housing to lock the fixture. The housing must sit flush against the surface.
  4. 04
Repeat · connect · terminate. Repeat Steps 1–3 for each fixture. Cut off any excess flylead and connect to the MaxiLINK 48 VDC + DMX supply — qualified electrician required. Install the ELR (End-of-Line Resistor) on the last fixture to terminate the DMX bus.

Engineering brief

Two optic strategies. One control infrastructure.

MaxiDOT delivers pixel-density addressable spots for programmable facade graphics. Focal Facade delivers wide-beam directional wash for traditional facade accent. MaxiEDGE adds an ultra-narrow 170°×5° line of light for window edges and architectural perimeters. All three share the DMX512 / MaxiLINK control protocol — a single control infrastructure handles pixel arrays, wallwash and edge lines on the same project. MaxiDOT rated IP67; Focal Facade IP68; MaxiEDGE IP66.
