MaxiLED Large Globe Static festoon runs along the iconic River Thames Embankment, in the company of some of London’s most recognised landmarks — Tower Bridge, London Bridge and the Tower of London. In a location this visible, the specification came down to two things: low-voltage operation and a build robust enough for year-round illumination.
The low-voltage system spans over 500 meters of riverside walkway — a single continuous statement of light that demonstrates how far the platform scales across large public areas.
Maintenance access on a high-profile riverfront is never simple, which made the low-maintenance case decisive: a 5-year warranty and a life expectancy of over 12 years mean the installation keeps working season after season without intervention.
The result enhances the visual identity of the Embankment after dark while giving the public realm a lighting scheme built to last — sustainable, serviceable and permanently on duty.
