MaxiLED Globe Series festoon lighting has been chosen to illuminate Olive Lane, Sheffield — an exciting new development designed to bring together dining, leisure and community in a vibrant urban destination. The installation reflects Olive Lane’s ambition to create a welcoming, modern space, ensuring the area glows with warmth and character.
For this project, MaxiLED Large Globe High Output was specified, featuring a bespoke 4-LED Chip-on-Board (COB) configuration with 2700K LEDs. This setup delivers a soft, warm-white illumination that enhances the ambience of Olive Lane while providing exceptional efficiency and reliability.
Engineered for permanent architectural applications, the system combines rugged injection-moulded globes, heavy-gauge cabling, and the advanced 2-Wire MaxiLINK technology — ensuring straightforward installation and robust long-term performance. Control is handled by MaxiLINK and the iPlayer3 Architectural Controls platform, giving the operator scene-based programming without a separate signal bus.
Olive Lane represents a new hub of energy and innovation for Sheffield — a space designed to evolve as the community grows. The MaxiLED festoon lighting provides an inviting atmosphere day and night, perfectly complementing the development’s mix of lifestyle, culture and social experiences.
